A Baby

If case you’re wondering why I haven’t been able to post and get to your comments as often as I’d like recently, it’s because we’ve just had a new baby. Hopefully things will settle down a bit soon.

    Dwight Williams says:

I wouldn’t expect that settling down to happen for a few years! :)

Congratulations! *raises virtual toast of organic ginger ale*

    fogcutter says:

    Congratulations!
No other explanation would have been acceptable…

All the best to you and yours.

    Heather Ross says:

Congrats Todd. Boy or girl? Name?

    Kenn S says:

Congrats to you and your wife, Paul!

Glad no lock out until at least 2014 says:

    Congrats!!!!

Stop posting and have your boss find a short term replacement.

    Sleep when you can.

Hope mom and baby are doing great!!

I just read your critique of CBC (tor) news casts. It really is sad to see the CBC tv news & programing slide the way it has. Oh how I wish that Canada would move toward the British BBC style of prgming and it’s more comprehensive or in depth new format. Canwest style / bell ctv is not in the interest of the larger pop base except perhaps out west. Perhaps our pc govmnt , oops conservative fed govmnt is more concerned with giving a long term edge to private industry running media outlets which would be to their liking. too with underfunding something had to give which is becoming more evident in prgming/ news brdcasts. Maybe We need a new change of direction!

Congrats on the baby! Keep up the good work. Love the site.

On another note …. I’m watching The National. I love Bob McDonald the science guy. He’s a very smart man. Love you Bob. Don’t mean to hurt your feelings but someone needs to be honest.

Fix you F*#*ing teeth! You are a regular on national television programs. Get veneers. Do something … we love you ….. but DUDE!

    Bob Jonkman says:

    Congrats! Pictures, please?

And, speaking from experience, you’ll find that things will settle down in, oh, eighteen years or so.

    –Bob.

    Kempton says:

    Congrats Tod.

P.S. Bob is right, it is probably 18 years (and possibly more, depends on the type of parents you guys are) !

    Paul Mcgrath says:

Kempton, uhm. I’m not Tod. Tod is no longer writing this blog. And I don’t think he’s had a baby.

    Kempton says:

Sorry Paul, congrats to you instead! :) And the next 18+ years will be fun. :)

P.S. My Google Reader (as I subscribed to this blog long time ago) was showing Tod in the byline. I did an unsubscribe and subscribe which fixed the outdated byline.

    Antimatter says:

    Congrats!

    Enjoy the ride.

    Derek K. Miller says:

I was confused too, since I know Tod and haven’t seen any baby indications. But the RSS feed still says that “tod@insidethecbc.com (Tod Maffin)” is writing these posts. Someone should change that.

    Lisa Laco says:

settle down? hahahahahah! My oldest is 25 and I’m still waiting for things to settle down! get lots of sleep!

    Stafford Philips says:

    Congratulations, Todd!
