Vancouver’s ‘Untitled #4′ artwork

Someone in the Vancouver plant has created a rather peculiar art installation piece, complete with comments book.

It consists of some jelly beans and a microscope underneath a large upside-down martini glass. Perched off-balance on the glass is a copy of the CBC’s Blue Book (Journalistic Standards and Practices). And suspended above it all is a CD case with a photo of BBC journalist and former hostage Alan Johnson.

What do you think it means?

Untitled #4 can be seen on T-level, in the Exposure/Living Vancouver space.

    Anu on T Floor says:

Don’t ask why I came to know this but that CD case you mention contains an image of BBC reporter Alan Johnson. How might that complicate your critique?

Tod replies: I noticed there was a CD hanging there, but didn’t recognize Mr. Johnson in it. Thanks for the tip; I’ll add it to the story.

I don’t see a microscope but there is a magnifying glass. And just beside this magnifying glass there is a passage from “Peter Pan”. Do you know what it says?
