Backfill
Hi everyone! As Tod mentioned, he’s taking a week’s holiday from the blog, and I’ll be sitting in. So, give me a few minutes to retrieve my password from Blake’s fortress of solitude, put on my Castro blogging hat, learn Dalet, and I’ll see what I can dig up. I should be able to keep this thing limping along for a bit, but if you have any tips please send them my way. Does anyone outside the corp use the term backfill (when they aren’t talking about dirt)?
It’s easy to forget that other people don’t know these inside terms. I tend to talk about going through a board, and no one realizes I mean job interview.
iNudes: I had wondered about that. Getting backfilled sounds rather painful, doesn’t it? (And, in hockey at least, so does getting boarded.)
So how about it, anyone from outside the CBC familiar with this term?
Well, I’m technically outside the CBC right now…but I don’t think I count
