The CBC has applied to the CRTC for permission to add an FM transmitter at Brockville Ontario to simulcast its Ottawa signal. The transmitter would operate at 106.5 FM and have 3,000 watts in power.
UPDATE: In a caffeine-overloaded day of blogging yesterday, I accidentally wrote Brockton instead of Brockville in the headline. Thanks to Neil for pointing it out.

I don’t know about Brockville - but has CBC fixed R1 coverage in Trenton/Belleville areas yet? Can’t get Kingston, can’t get Toronto, can’t get Ottawa. Let the troops in Trenton listen to the corp!
In the Trenton/Belleville area, I would think that 98.7 from Peterborough would come in fine. I don’t believe I’ve had a dead area along the 401 from Toronto to Kingston to Montreal. On Radio 2, the Kingston transmitter isn’t too strong and there may be a few holes in transmission.
