And you don't think Cole/Neal have ties with the Maple Leafs? I would chose Dean Brown because of his great voice and enthusiasm for the game. I don't think he is biased in his broadcasting, or, if he is, he would have to lose it if he did nationally televised games. Anyway, my push isn't for Brown so much as to get rid of the tired and tiring voices of Cole/Neale.

I understand the frustrations some fans have with Bob Cole but I don't see Dean Brown as a replacement. He is too much tied with one team. It is such a shame that the CBC let Chris Cuthburt go.

Glad to hear it looks like HNIC will continue. I'm far from a sports fan, but I've always believed hockey is central to the CBC and central to keeping CBC financially viable.

Lose Bob Cole and Harry Neale, quickly! Dean Brown, the voice of the Ottawa Senators, would be an excellent replacement for Cole.

Go CBC! I sure hope the CBC is able to renew the NHL contract. Life without Hockey Night in Canada isn't something I want to think about.
