CBC jack-o-lantern winner!
Well, you came through. Thanks to some last minute entries, the “Exploding pizza, smashing pumpkin” contest was a spooky success.
I’ve posted the images on a new page:
http://www.insidethecbc.com/cbc-pumpkins/
Hearty thanks go out to James and Hilary Kingsley and John Teeter for their entries (and my daughter Ava for her “help”, such as it was.) But most of all, congratulations to our winner, Allison Saunders. Behold:
Peter Pumpkinhead!

You’ll see Allison and her original carving on the contest page, but her Photoshopping trick(or treat) solidified the win. Allison takes home a $25 gift certificate for the CBC Shop for her efforts. Spend it all in one place!
And on that happy note, I’ll hand things back to Tod, who I see is already off to the races. It’s been a blast looking after the blog in his absence, and we’re discussing ways for me stay involved going forward.
As they say on Dragon’s Den, I’m out. Thanks everyone!

Well done, Paul!
First: Thanks to Paul for doing a great job filling in for Tod and for coming up with this fun contest. Pumpkin guts everywhere!!!! I’ve got a speech prepared for when I win an Oscar™ but alas, I don’t have one ready for this contest…
Second: I have to say that James’ pumpkin glows better than mine does, and that John’s Ceebie-Jeebies is much scarier than anything I could have come up with! That is one great name for a spooky CBC pumpkin.
Third: I hope you all had a very excellent All Hallows Eve and that you’re able to keep your hands out of the candy bowl better than I.
Outstanding pumpkinry all round! Congrats Allison; don’t spend that money all in one place. Oh wait a minute, I guess you have to.
Thanks for looking after things so ably, Paul.
Allison,
My fingerprints were all over some (ok lots of) empty chocolate bar wrappers in the garb-can. But I have an excuse… I was checking them for the trick and/or treaters!
The highlight of my night was the 4, 12-teen year old girls that showed up with KISS, and their face makeup was perfect for each of the original lineup – AND! they new the names of the characters they were playing. Me thinks Daddy is a big fan…
