Secret Google Tips for Researchers: Day Five
By popular request, here’s a quick Cheat Sheet that covers the Google search tips from the past four days.
It also includes frequently-called CBC numbers, and a list of stat holidays for 2007! All you have to do is download it, print it out, and tape it to your computer monitor!
Please note that the number listed for English Dalet Support is for Toronto users only. Everyone else should contact their local Radio Maintenance Department. Please make this change to your own copy of the cheat sheet.
Any suggestions for future versions of this Cheat Sheet? Let me know by posting a comment here.

Hi Tod,
Thanks for the tips.
Kempton
Great cheat sheet, thanks. Is there no video lesson today? I was looking forward to the surprise.
It must be Friday, a day where we are all thinking of the weekend, and not of what is before us.
This is old news (tricks) for web searching and has been around for many years.
Why not come up with something startling for your blog…even on a Friday LOL.

This *is* the surprise.
But I’ve had a lot of good feedback from the series, so I’m sure I’ll be doing another video series again.
Another handy Google tip for v1.1: Unit conversion
Example:
500lb in kg
37c in f
50 firkins in hogsheads
Gotta be useful for announcer-types in a metric country next-door to an imperial country.
–Bob.
Don’t forget that Google can do most mathematic functions too:
See their calculator

the google cache also works nicely to get around websense filters, sometimes.
“Olympics date:3″ is listed twice on the cheat sheet.
Lovely. Thank ye.
