Dalet karma ran over my dogma

Payback’s a bitch. After posting the Dalet satire poster yesterday, guess where I find myself today? Here I am in a dark room in CBC Vancouver undergoing DaletPlus training. Heheheh.

So far, I am super-impressed! Full review coming later.

Tod, can you give us a review of this fine piece of “software” when you’re trained?

Tod says: Absolutely. So far I’m REALLY impressed!

I played with DaletPlus a few months back in Halifax, and I remember its interface being even less intuitive than the original Dalet. On the other hand, it has a lot of nice features that the original Dalet lacks. They’re just not easy to use.

I liked some aspects of it - some things do speed up the process.

However, I’m NOT happy at all about the lack of the scroll bar in the new Navigator. It has stop, play, pause. No fast-forward or reverse for re-cueing if you blew your backtime.

There is another seperate player that has a scroll, but it’s a seperate application and the screen has enough stuff packed in it already and I will miss that feature.

They say the new version (another ‘new’ version) Milestone 5 will have it…in about a year or so.

However, the speedy file converter is quite snazzy. Fast and no more dbPower Amp.

Ditto - what is this Dalet of which you speak?
