Best memo this week.
From Vancouver: “Good morning, everyone: Tomorrow marks the start of the DaletPlus training for all current Dalet users…. This training is an assignment – it is not optional…. No food will be permitted in the training suites. Drinks are fine, but no food whatsoever, please.” (Read: You will learn. Oh yes, you will. And until you learn, you will not be permitted nourishment!) <grin>

*evil laughter*
Kind of reminds me of that “respect in the workplace” training that was announced a little while ago that is mandatory for all employees. A fine way to show respect for your employees by ramming it down their throats.
hahahaha
Well well well, someone wants to be cruel, eh?
The dalet. the poor man, receives charity from the rich man, the gimel. The word dalet means “door.” The door stands in the opening of the house… Talmud, anyone???
… or perhaps they mean Dalit. In the Indian caste system, a Dalit, often called an untouchable,or an outcaste, is a person who does not have any varnas. Varna refers to the Hindu belief that most humans were created from different parts of the body of the divinity Purusha. The part from which a varna was created defines a person’s social status with regards to issues such as who they can marry and what jobs they can do. Dalits fall outside the varnas system and have historically been prevented from doing any but the most menial jobs.
