CBC employees: Buy your CBC stuff quick!
CBC is cutting the employee discount of CBC merchandise from 30% to 20%. The change happens October 1.
A bulletin to staff late last week said CBC employees have “shared in our excitement and growth through the distribution of CBC/Radio-Canada merchandise.”

This is really disappointing. CBCers were the ones popularizing a lot of the swag items, especially the retro T-shirts, and this is the thanks we get.
Granted, a cool t-shirt with the 70s pizza on it is a lot better than a Microsoft golf shirt or a knapsack with the name of the bank you work for on it. But I’ll bet you that in both those cases, the employees didn’t have to pay a cent to promote their own employer.

yah that sucks…I worked for a place once that offered us all kinds of cool clothes and hats from a catalogue …that we had to pay for full price…but when they showed up…they had the company logo on them. I threw a 30 dollar hat in the garbage right in front of my boss when it showed up.
But if I worked for the CBC…well, I would gladly be a walking billboard, and pay for the privilege.
( I already have the black and the blue shirt…)

I hope any CBC employees who LOVE our photos and want to grace us with a token of their appreciation buying us some swag…like a bumper sticker, a t-shirt…or the best of coronation street get their orders in soon!

Perhaps the 10% discount that CBC intends to take from their imployees, “what to save money,”can be applied towards transmission services in the Fort Erie area…
