CBC is providing free flu shots to employees and pensioners starting next month. They’ll be in 25 cities/towns across the country providing this.
(CBC employees: Your local HR office will let you know the times and dates for your own shots.)
Frankly, I’ve always been afraid of flu shots, and I’m not sure why. Probably because I’m a wimp.

Nope. Don’t do flu shots. Too much controversy over them, even though they’re much-lauded (like many other drugs and vaccines). They’re also not infallible, as it’s well-known that they can’t make them for the current year’s mutations - they’re always based on the types of flus from the previous year.
I’ve gotten flu shots at CBC for as long as I can remember… that is, until I met my girlfriend three years ago. There are some perks to dating a nurse
I got flu shots for years because I have asthma. Every year that I got one I was low grade sick for much of the winter. You know that feeling where you think you are getting sick, you feel crappy, your nose runs and your throat hurts a bit but it never materialized into anything. I have not had the flu shot for the last 2 years and I have not been low grade sick all winter. I did have one bad cold last year but otherwise I have been fine. I vote no to the flu shot!
I thought that flu shots are free for all Ontarioans (maybe other provinces as well?)
In BC they are free if you have certain medical conditions, are a senior or work in healthcare. There may be others covered that I am not aware of.
Definitely not. I’m not a believer. I tried it 3 times and got really sick immediately afterwards all 3 times. I’ll take my chances out there in the big bad world of germs.
No flu shot for me! I’ll let my own immune system gain strength and fight it off.
def not. flu shots are how the government controls your mind.
Definitely yes! I am a strong believer. I am got 4 times so far. I never got Flue or I never got sick after taking them. Will what happens this year.
NO! Got it last year first thing in the morning, and by end of day ended up aching and shaking under several layers of blankets. It was so bad, my hair hurt. My HAIR! So, I’m going to load up on vitamins and build up my own immune system!

I have not had flu or even a cold for 10 years, I’ll stick to my healthy food, organic supplements, and the rare aspirin.
I ignore all the health related stuff that’s on the makret, why encourage health problems of any kind!
