Going, Going, Gone

On June 26th the final episode of Go hit the airwaves. As Brent Bambury wrote on the show’s website, the show had two guiding principles “We didn’t quite know what we were going to do. And… we could do anything we wanted.”
Bambury called the show a “long crazy ride of fun and laughter.” A new show is currently in development to replace Go. It is slated to launch this fall.

I never cared for this program mainly because I always felt it was too light and fluffy for the CBC. To my ear it always felt more scripted and awkward than “crazy and fun”. Having said that I hope all the staff move on successfully in their careers.
For all its occasional oddness, I am going to miss this show.
Go? Never heard of it.
Go I am happy it`s gone ! The laughter had to be done by paid staff I am sure. The show was not even “lite”…it was stupid.
The host can do better things and I hope he does.
I never could figure out who Brent Bambury was and why he deserved his “playhouse”. It was all one long, bad inside joke.
I often had trouble listening on the radio, but it was a great show to be in the audience. The final show was great to be at.
