One Response to “CBC’s Susan McNamee on Health and Wellness”

I appreciate the message that is conveyed here and all the suggestions continue to apply. However I have heard these for years and know that the message doesn’t deal with the problem of too much time spent at work. I have advocated a shorter work week for the simple fact that knowing we live in a society that values profits and efficiency in earning those dollars, there is less and less time for the individual and the community. The unquenchable quest for these profits will continue to wear the worker down and rob him/her of time that could be spent will family and the community. More time should be spent volunteering and giving of our time rather than the selling of it. This will lead to less stress and greater happiness.
“With respect to educating people about music, Rich Terfry/Buck 65/Stinkin’ Rich is the real deal. He is NOT another George Strombo or Jian Ghomeshi, who know very little about the world beyond the boarders of the GTA, and whose…” [read]

Shouldn’t a public radio service…” [read]

“Wow.
I was blissfully unaware of all the changes, until now.
Huge crushing blow!
The previous programs soothed my mind, soul, and spirit through may difficult days.
I used to think, “thank God for CBC 2″, when I would scan the radio and…” [read]
“@Peter/Randall:
Ahh, you’re changing the terms of our deal! ;-)
You commented that you predicted the streams would be shut down in less than six months.
If you’ve got $500 to wager on THAT forecast, you’re on. ;-)
But now that I’m calling…” [read]
“I stand corrected on the bit-rate. I do, however, stand by my prediction that the four streams will be presented in Living Stereophonic Sound!
The streams formally launch Tuesday. Although, ahem, you may want to check out the Jazz and Classical…” [read]

And from the Globe and Mail article “However, Terfry said, “We’re not going to turn our backs on our friends because they have become successful. So, for example, we wouldn’t not play Feist because…” [read]
“Richard Terfry?? Jian Ghomeshi?? Bummer! If I wanted to listen to young, ‘hip’, dilettantes I’d phone up my friends. What an incredible drag!
