Hello again
Hi everyone, it’s me, Paul Gorbould once again. Tod’s away (rough timing, huh?) so I’ll pinch hit for him until he returns. I hear there’s something or other in the news?
Lemme at it! (and please bear with me while I adjust the mirrors and seats.)

Hi Paul, Glad to see the quick pickup in maintaining the site in Todd’s absence. However shouldn’t you be using a separate account? While the site does not display author, the rss feed does, and in my beloved google reader it says that Todd is posting this and not yourself. Certainly wordpress has the capability for multiple authors, thus should you not be posting under your own name and not Todd’s?
really brave of you to post all them negative comments about the announcement, huh, Paul?
Psuedo: Actually I am using my own separate account, though authors are not displayed on the site. But the RSS feed does seems to think everything comes from Tod. I noticed this problem last time, too, but it was the one thing I couldn’t solve. It might be a result of using Feedburner for the RSS, but I’m not sure. I’ll ask Tod when he gets back.
Peter: I’ve approved all comments that I’ve received over the past 24 hours, with the exception of spam and trackbacks. I don’t know what Tod’s policy is (he was online for a couple of hours.)
Thanks for the reply Paul. And ya, it probably is Feedburner. Which makes me curious why you wouldn’t just use the rss feeds built into wordpress. (http://www.insidethecbc.com/wp-rss2.php)
I also think the wordpress theme that’s being used should be modified to show the name of the poster, whether it be you, Todd, or some future author of the site. You never see people on TV news go without a tag at the bottom of the screen identifying who they are as they say what they say…
Hi guys:
Paul: The comments policy here is pretty simple: Be on topic and don’t personally insult people. I’ll approve just about anything else — negative comments about the CBC included.
Psuedo: Great point about putting our names on the post. I’ve added that now at the bottom of each posting. As for Feedburner, I chose that just in case we decided to move the feed to another server (i.e. cbc.ca/blog or something like that) and for better feed-traffic stats.
