iNews support team wins at film festival
Brian Chick, Josh Johnston, and Kyle Geerkens work in Media Production Support in Toronto. They’re the people who answer the phone when you call the iNews hotline.
And now, they’re award-winning filmmakers.
The trio participated in the Toronto Film Challenge a few weeks ago, which requires groups of 10 or less to write, shoot, and edit a short film in 48-hours. After qualifying for the Top 10, they attended the awards gala where they were awarded the prize for Best Screenplay, Best Actor, and Best Picture.
You can watch their eight-minute film — a sort of young-love musical — below.
Is that enough “flexible workforce” for ya?

yeah, okay.
I’d be happier if Inews didn’t take 4 times longer than Prolog to log music.
Why aren’t we using Imusique?
Or hell, why aren’t we using the Itunes database, which is really comprehensive, and loads a lot faster than Inews search??
Congrats to all involved!
It reminds me that I need to pick up toilet paper on the way home. And probably a loaf of bread while I’m at it.
“They’re the people who who answer the phone when you call the iNews hotline.”
How does this make them responsible for your unhappiness with iNews? And god forbid we let them celebrate their victory without immediately taking a dump on their success. Nice work.
Tod – I think Angela is referring to the fact that Adam is taking the opportunity to dump on the poor support folks for problems in iNews – not only totally uncalled for, but completely irrelevant to the topic at hand.
I apologize if I was a little off topic, but since we seem to talk about Dalet so much around here, Inews only seems fair game.
I’d happily comment in a posting more clearly related to Inews, but there are none.
The level of frustration with this software is spilling over at my plant. We’re using news software to log music. Why exactly?
