Intelligence to return to CBC says producer
Chris Haddock, producer of the widely acclaimed Intelligence drama, says he expects to be renewed by CBC Television. In an interview with Playback magazine, says “We’re a well-oiled fighting machine.”

Gosh I hope that’s true. Haddock’s work is always excellent. It would be a shame if it was cancelled so quickly.
I’ll be glad of the confirmation of renewal if/when it comes, myself. Been enjoying the first season.
How will joe public be made aware of the return of Intelligence… Will there be an advanced notice of the time frame? Is there presently any Dvd’s available on the initial series? If so, where can copies be obtained?
I cannot find a TV series on any channel that equals or even comes close to Intelligence… The other types are absolute junk, and do not qualify for watching.
If there’s a DVD set in the works, when’s it set for release?
When I saw the title of this post I though that perhaps the CBC was going to become a real public broadcaster – I should have known it was too good to be true.
I’m still ticked that Intelligence is being cancelled. It shows no intelligence by CBC brass for removing it. A brilliant show, brilliant cast and so Canadian. This show has no equal.
They HAVE to bring it back for at least one more season. The season finale of Season I was absolutely brilliant and they cannot let the show die without showing us what goes down with Reardon and the other characters next.
THis was one of the best new shows I’ve seen in years. I watched the pilot last spring, and then was really excited when I found out there was going to be a series. I really hope this series is renewed – so many good TV shows have been chopped. In my more cynical moments, I believe that the more a program underestimates the intelligence of its audience, the greater its chances of survival.
And if it comes back, I will be seriously pissed iff there isn’t a decent amount of publicity. Canadian TV is hopeless when it comes to telling its audience of season premieres and changes to scheduled airtime…
Intelligence was the only other show (besides Heroes) that I ardently followed this whole season. An incredible series with no peer on the airwaves. The scripting, the pacing, the performances and the music (!) were all top-notch. I am so looking forward to seeing it renewed (if at least for one more season) but the suspense is killing me. Will CBC make the right move? Part of me is hopeful but then I look at the fact that they axed This Is Wonderland and… well… we all know how that ended. Top notch acting, writing, stories, and awards do NOT apparently make a hit show in the eyes of the CBC.
And, really, what is up with this Hustle show? Bloody awful. Be smart and keep Intelligence!
