CBC googlebombs its own site
If you go to the front page of CBC.ca right now, you’ll notice that the current #1 search on the web site is “Mansbridge Heat Vision.”
When you click it, you get a photo of CBC TV anchor Peter Mansbridge and, well, his heat vision.
Turns out, it was a gag from the fine folks at This Hour Has 22 Minutes.

Your tax dollars hard at work.
Is there a duller personality on the air in Canada?
In fact, so dull that even making fun of him is boring.
What puzzles me the most about Mansbridge is how one person, with such a deep background in journalism and numerous years of experience, can have so little to offer to the world.
No doubt he will be receiving many more awards, even in retirement.
But the only one I can think of that he clearly deserves is “Fewest Sick Days”.
FYI, the “popular searches” is not updated in real time at all.
Its a compilation of the most popular searches from the previous day.
Okay, that’s the comedic version of heat vision…
Hey Michael–it’s MY tax dollars, not yours. Your tax dollars go to funding the purchase of billion dollar transport aircraft.
@T Mazur.
I’m in Vancouver.
My tax dollars went down the tube with the Fast Ferries. But that’s a topic for another website.
T Mazur is like Jack Layton. He never saw a tax dollar that the didn’t want to waste!
And the CBC burns through an awful lot of them.
