CRTC won’t regulate “mobile TV” services
The CRTC has announced that mobile television broadcasters are exempt from licensing requirements. The exemption applies to point-to-point technologies that transmit a separate stream of broadcast video and audio to each end-user — i.e. to a cell phone. But not everyone can get into the game — the provider must be eligible to hold a Canadian broadcasting license. more

So I’m free to broadcast as long as I’m eligible to broadcast? Sounds tricky.
I can’t wait until we have a thousand Wayne’s World broadcasters exercising real freedom of speech, and giving the world what the CBC is too timid to give.

For too long big business (the CBC) and government (the CBC) have controlled the media.
That day is coming to an end.
In less than ten years we will have hundreds of more stations broadcasting over the web whether the CRTC likes it or not.
