Hmm, in my opinion, CBC Radio is already %#@& ed up, and I don't think it'll improve.

There's a related article at http://www.cbc.ca/arts/media/story/2007/11/23/cbc-integrate-friends.html .

I don't work at CBC. Can anyone tell a listener what this could actually mean?

does that mean they're going ahead with adjusting radio audio to fit the TV standard? Because I think that's silly and pointless.

Unbelievable !!!! The outgoing President of the CBC making such wide sweeping changes in the structure of this National Broadcaster is tying the hands, pre-emptively, of his incoming replacement. Mr. R has had sufficient time during his tenure to enact these changes. It truly smacks as a gesture similar to what an outgoing political leader would do. In my view, it resmbles what the General Manager of the Maple Leafs has done with the long term signing of suspect talent. If, and when, he will be replaced the new G.M. will be saddled with a team that will continue to go no where. A simple sports analogy is all I could come up with to try and understand this action. I always believed that the new head would have the right to chart the corporate course he has. Maybe I'm wrong, but, whatever.
