Ok, who among us hasn’t done something like that. I suspect this was an event where parking was crazy, you couldn’t get anywhere close to the event. If this was the case and the person was there to cover the thing, I don’t mind it so much. I know I’ve spent a lot of time cruising around looking for a legit spot to park so I wouldn’t have to haul 50 pounds of gear 2 miles just to get to the even I’m covering. And when there wasn’t one I slipped in anywhere I could. We’re not there for fun, we’re working — on a weekend to boot. Good news, you can usually expense the parking ticket.

On the plus side, the vehicle seems to comply with the vehicle branding guidelines: (internal access only to the link)

That’s “green colander” oh wise CBC folks. Not “colandar”.

Plus I happen to know the van was parked there for at least 2 hours.

Great some poor employee will have the petty manager come down hard on them in Ottawa.

Next time take a cab and charge it back to your department.

Don’t know if this needed to be posted here for a public flogging of the driver. We have no idea if the van was there 2 minutes or 2 hours.

Management gives us a hard enough time we don’t need it from our colleagues.

My Frau posted the photos. I saw the van there, myself. It sat there for at least 2 hours. Mind you, we didn’t lose any sleep over it.

Who watches the watchmen? It’s funny to hear people in the media whining about being treated unfairly. Suck it up, people. We do.
