Three per cent raise coming for CMG members
In three weeks, nearly all CBC employees represented by the Canadian Media Guild (about 5,500 people) will receive a 3% jump in their salary, as per the collective agreement hammered out during the 2005 lockout.
The CMG says the increase will happen even if that salary is higher than the rates listed in the collective agreement.
This is the last “across-the-board” pay increase before the collective agreement expires in March 2009.

does this apply to casuals as well?
Yes, per-occasion temps (we try not to use the term "casuals") get the 3% increase too. Freelance base rates go up as well.
Really? Everyone where I work uses the term casuals. (I’m a little bitter tho, as I’m moving from a CMG casual to a Confidential casual just before this date, so no raise for me!)
Is a that a point increase for every drop in ratings?
Yes C.B.C. needs a raise of more than 3% they need a 5% raise and some new Live music from east to west of Canada we have the talent lets hear thank you.
