Police Forces Across the Country
Withdraw Tasers Following CBC Report
Police forces across Canada have withdrawn older models of tasers following Frederic Zalac’s reporting for The National.
According to the Globe, Forces in Winnipeg, Newfoundland, Quebec, Nova Scotia, Fredericton, York Region, British Columbia and the RCMP have recalled pre-2006 models of tasers for tests.
The weapons were withdrawn after Zalac’s reporting showed four of 41 units tested discharged more current than the manufacturer’s specifications. The testing was commissioned by the CBC and Radio Canada, and was the largest independent electrical test on the weapon.

Would this not suggest the possibility that some of these defective tasers we’re responsible for the latest deaths due to the bogus excited delirium that’s been agreed upon by most police states, medical professions, and governments in the western world. Should there not be an independent third-party group with citizens oversight coordinating and picking these defective tasers up from the various police forces to prevent tampering and disposing of defective tasers.
Our police forces up to now have stood behind the fact that they believe the taser is safe. That has been undisputed until this current report from CBC indicating that specific older models discharged a higher current rate than specifications. What does this mean? It means they are unsafe and more. It means they are unsafe and causing death. We need to establish if these defective tasers were used during any of the altercations resulting in death.
It’s about time our police forces as a whole are liable for their actions, when it comes to safety, ignorance is no excuse, so bring on the the litigation.
If only the headline was “CBC executives reverse last two years of Radio 2 changes following listeners’ exodus”.
