Poll Results: What Does the CBC Mean to You?
After posting the CBC poll on Friday morning, I was surprised to discover more than 500 739 results today Wednesday morning.
Here are some of the interesting tidbits so far:
- The question ‘Is the CBC on the right track with it’s [sic] current focus on entertainment?’ ended up being pretty much evenly split, 54% said yes, while 46% said no.
- 28% of 75 respondents said the CBC has a left wing bias
- People seem to hate this iCopyright system, 95% of people think we should drop it.
- 61% of respondents think the ceeb is great place to work.
I’ve embedded the poll again below, if you think there’s a few questions missing feel free to create an account and add your own, or just leave a question in the comments and I’ll add it for you.

What percentage of the 61% actually work here, I wonder? There are days when it’s like nothing so much as being repeatedly kicked in the family jewels.
Funny. It could be the other 39 per cent that works here.
Typical “I MISS PATRICK WATSON RICHARD STERZBURG IS SATAN” sentiments.
If the poll disagrees with your POV then there just has to be something wrong with it.
After all… you guys speak for everyone at the Corps, right?
Greener Grass Perception Syndrome on the part of some on the outside? Granted, a lot of us know enough to share the sense of siege, but still consider it a place we’d want to be.
observer, the interesting thing about the poll is that both the questions and the responses were submitted by readers of this blog, so I don’t think it really speaks for any one person at the corps, but many people.
fyi, I can’t see the poll (and i couldn’t see it on the first post either). using the latest version of firefox on MAC OS 10.x
b, the poll uses a javascript to run, if you can’t see it it’s problably your browser settings. The poll was created using urtak’s software, you may want to contact them about the issue: editor@urtak.com.
One guy from CBC owes me a lots of money and doesn’t want to return..that’s what cbc means to me..any sugguestion what I shall do?
I miss the old CBCOvernight, the new formats and NPR/BBC/RCI-Viva are beige, bland, repetitive, repetitive (same storie as last hour)
Question? Should RCI, the international shortwave service, make up its own programming focusing on telling of Canada to the world, in 1 hour chunks, without patchcord feeding from CBC?
Bill, I added your question, get clicky with it.
Observer, you have no bias whatsoever, huh?
You sound like you report directly to RS. Your comments would be discarded if this were a figure skating event.
“If this were a figure skating event” is my new favourite hypothetical.
