New Music Canada re-Launches as part of CBC Radio 3
The popular New Music Canada and Roots Music Canada web sites have now been integrated into the primary CBC Radio 3 web site. There’s no longer any need to jump back and forth between different websites. All music now opens in the R3 Media Player, which means that you may now add any of the 45,000 tracks to your personal playlist. And bands now have the option of blogging and posting photos and videos to their artist pages.

The CBC Radio 3 Site is a disaster. The New Music Canada website was elegant and easy to navigate. For example, there’s no artist search! This is fucked.
I’m saddened by the loss of the NMC website. Instead of having a direct line to the artists, I’m kind of forced to navigate through CBC Radio 3 blogs and playlists and button upon buttons upon tables and scrolling windows and media players. I’m interested in the artists, not CBC radio 3 staff. Sigh. Plus the page is kind of awful to look at. I’m sorry to see this happen and probably won’t be using this page frequently.
