Lloyd Robertson Quashes Retirement Rumours
Lloyd Robertson quashed rumours that he was feeling overloaded by the Olympics and planned to retire. Robertson called the rumour a “a fascinating work of fiction,” that isn’t true.
The rumour was first published on the Medium Close Up blog yesterday.
Robertson quashed the rumours today on the Bill Good Show, a Vancouver news talk show.

that’s a lot of quashing!
you’re right. it’s a triple quash, the mother of all quashes.
when something gets quashed this decisively I tend to suspect it’s true.
Oh Lloyd is going for sure – he’s going.
He always said he’d go after the 2010 Olympics — of course that could be 20 years from now — but he’s going.
Lloyd will not be leaving until
he does.
Also we their will not be work force adjustment to the CFTO News room and CP24. It just makes fiscal sense to have two newsrooms owned by us covering the same city.
The CTV chopper does double duty for CFTO & CP24 so why can’t the staff?
Off to LA to buy more American shows.
Courage
Ivan
well we already know who’s going to replace him, when/if he’s going to go.
but what about Peter (although I hope he’s not going anywhere any time soon), when he retires, who do you think would have a presence on the National that’s outstanding enough to be his replacement? and i’m not talking about the irregular once-in-a-while subsitutes.
