Video: Shelagh Rogers on Gzowski’s legacy

Shelagh Rogers, host of CBC Radio’s Sounds Like Canada, who worked with Peter Gzowski in Toronto, spent a few moments with me yesterday (the fifth anniversary of his death) talking about his legacy, career, and passion. It runs less than 12 minutes.

Video quality: Remember, I’m a radio guy, not television, so my camera work and the lighting isn’t particularly good. But it’s the content that matters anyway, right? :-)

    Good effort here.
    Good choice.

But yes, you want to work on the lighting, even if it is a hassle.
Nothing worse than capturing a great moment and being disappointed with the quality of recording.

Another first rate use of the media here.

Thank you so much for posting this video. I now live in Philadelphia and am thankful that I can still listen to CBC Radio on the Internet. Remembering Peter was a real treat.

Lovely segment. Thanks for the video.

Great job Tod. Loved the video and thoroughly appreciate the just-do-it style - grab a camera, tape a conversation with someone and see what happens. And the bad lighting totally captures the spontinaeity and authenticity.

For those of you who loved Peter Gzowski PLEASE be sure to check out the CBC archives site that has lots and lots of clips from his shows. I know it probably sounds greedy but I just wish there were even more available!

Loved it ! And I was not a REAL Gzowski fan and I am NOT a Sheila fan either, but I try to stay loyal to CBC for many reasons. I was very moved by this piece. Thanks Tod.
