Joe Camel you sound like an apologist for the tobacco industry. The correlation between second hand smoke and cancer in non-smokers is well documented.

Bryan, your anecdote is quite sad but doesn't prove much. Did your mother in law's smoking father and uncles get lung cancer too? A 78 year old woman has exceeded a normal life span. How long would she live if all she ever breathed is auto and industrial pollution?

You should find another cause to be fanatical about.

I was a smoker for about 10 years (quite 27 years ago). I never thought second hand smoke was an issue. Spent far too much time as a TV tech on break in smoke filled bars like The Red Lion or Larrys Hideaway etc.
2 weeks ago my mother-in-law, 78, who never smoked a day in her life was told she has LUNG CANCER. Her father and uncles had all smoked for many years. It's not so much what you are doing today as it is what you did 20 years ago, and 20 years from now you will face the music for your actions (or inactions) of today. True the choice is yours, but I cringe when I see parents with kids in the car, windows rolled up and both smoking like break time is almost over...

I'ts hard to comment on this kind of thing without cussing as your policy requires. But I'll try.

The smoking rooms present no health hazard even if smoke WERE a hazard. These wonderful folks are engaged in the wonderful harrasment of smokers, period. Give them a medal!!

Smokers unite! Pat these wonderful folk on the back. Hard.

TBC should have roof access for the crews working on the tenth floor. It'll be a pain in the ass for them to have to get to the ground floor if they've only got a few minutes.

I'm a non-smoker but i still respect the needs of those who smoke.

And an un-happy crew is an un-productive crew.

(bring back the caf!)
