I never thought second hand smoke was an issue. Spent far too much time as a TV tech on break in smoke filled bars like The Red Lion or Larrys Hideaway etc. 2 weeks ago my mother-in-law, 78, who never smoked a day in her life was told she has LUNG CANCER. Her father and uncles had all smoked for many years. It's not so much what you are doing today as it is what you did 20 years ago, and 20 years from now you will face the music for your actions (or inactions) of today. True the choice is yours, but I cringe when I see parents with kids in the car, windows rolled up and both smoking like break time is almost over... I was a smoker for about 10 years (quite 27 years ago). I never thought second hand smoke was an issue. It'll be a pain in the ass for them to have to get to the ground floor if they've only got a few minutes. I'm a non-smoker but i still respect the needs of those who smoke.
