Head of CBC.ca to leave Corporation
Sue Gardner, head of CBC.ca, has decided to leave the CBC. Her last day in the office will be Friday, June 1.
Seventeen years ago, Sue started with CBC as an intern with As It Happens. She went on to work in radio and television, producing documentaries and talk programming for flagship network programs, including Prime Time, Sunday Morning and This Morning. In 2000, she moved to the web, where she was tapped to lead the implementation of New Media Renewal, a year-long staff consultation process which set the stage for a complete overhaul of CBC’s online strategy. She later became Deputy Director of CBC.ca, then Director, and finally Senior Director.
