does anyone remember the SNL sketch from years ago where people over-pronounced spanish sounding place names, so that “NeeeekaaRAGGGWAAA” sounded like a machine gun?

Man, that was a funny sketch.

probably the same person who told us to pronounce pedophile, pee-do-file (just like the ped in pediatrician).

i’m all for correct pronounciation, but seriously, if we’re the only outlet sounding like this, then what is the point?
