Former CBC anchor turns to private radio
Dennis Trudeau, former anchor of CBC Newswatch says he will be joining 940 News to anchor the station’s morning show, with Aphrodite Salas. Trudeau is a former host of Daybreak, As It Happens and Cross-Country Checkup.

I hope he knows what he’s getting into. Four and a half hours a day on the air every weekday morning, starting at an ungodly hour, for a guy who’s coming out of retirement!

Hey, he’s done it before, and maybe he’s a sucker for punishment — he used to get up to play hockey at 7:30 AM on Sunday mornings.
What would really rock would be if he could co-host with Ted Tevan, doncha think? Now there’s a dream team.
Dennis has been doing interesting freelance stuff on French TV.
But poor him, 940 is the pits. They don’t really even have news per se… they just run headlines…. plus traffic, weather, sports, blah blah blah. Almost no actual reporting.
