Former CTV Television anchor Wei Chen will become the new host of CBC Radio’s Ontario Morning beginning Monday. Chen was an anchor and investigative reporter for CTV between 1997 and 2003, and was host of Canada AM Weekend prior to that. Since then, she spent time at upstart TV station Toronto 1.
Chen worked at CBC before, as an early Newsworld and regional reporter. She was twice nominated for a Gemini Award and won a New York Festival World Medal.
Random factoid: Chen was singer-songwriter Jann Arden’s university roommate.

There was a question about whether she would last very long, the host’s job at Ontario Morning has been a bit of a revolving door. I’ve been told she’s made a 3 year commitment to the show.
I like Kid romancer Patty Sullivan to host Kids CBC 7 days a week, she joined the network in 2003 and still is today.
Another host!!! When is someone going to put a stopper to this revolving door. As a listener to this show I am getting tired of having to get used to a new style. Enough already!!!!
Can someone actually post a list of hosts from Erica Ritter to Mary Eto? It would be a who’s who of CBC radio talent!
