Did someone trip over a wire?
Was it just my TV, or did CBC TV lose its feed right in the middle of airing the results of the first ballot in the Liberal convention? It was only out for ten seconds or so (on both the main network and Newsworld), but the timing couldn’t have been worse, happening right at the climax of the vote-count. Damned YouTubers. They’re responsible for this somehow.

No, it wasn’t just you…here in the Ottawa area, I was flipping back and forth between the main network and Newsworld and screaming “No!” and laughing at the same time and wishing I hadn’t turned off my computer a few minutes earlier. It felt like 15-30 seconds to me…actually, it felt like about a minute to me, but my guess would be in the 20-30 second range.
Ho my gash… I wasn’t even interested in the first ballot! It was way too obvious that not much would conclude from a first ballot.
Which reminds me… doesn’t CTV and Global air feeds of the convention as well? I dunno, I’m not as apt to watch either, since Peter Mansbridge is a hunk, but has anyone watched their coverage?
A very fine congrats to Stephane Dion. In applause, I shall play “You and I” by… CELINE Dion.
Let’s hope these two aren’t related. Last thing we need is a singer in parliament.
